Blessed William Joseph Chaminade saw holiness as part of everyone's mission in life. It is a normal part of the Christian life and is a great grace. It is a gift that has been purchased at a great price.
Mother Teresa was "right on" when asked how she felt being acclaimed as being holy around the world, she answered: "Holiness is not a luxury; it is a necessity."
Similarly, Blessed William Joseph Chaminade wrote "we are called to be a people of saints."
