On our pilgrimage to World Youth Day 2011 we visited Bordeaux, France. Blessed Chaminade returned to Bordeaux to form “Marian Sodalities” (today's Sodalities or Marianist Lay Communities), made up of men and women of all ages and conditions. He provided them with a sound Christian formation and assigned to them specific missionary tasks. Thus hundreds of youngsters and adults gathered together. As of August 15, 1804, the Chapel of the Madeleine became the center where they met.
In addition, we visitedvarious spots of Blessed Chaminade. The video below gives a small explanation of Blessed Chaminade's room by former Superior General of the Society of Mary, Fr. David Fleming, S.M. Enjoy!
