Today we celebrate with the whole Church
the birthday of the Blessed Virgin Mary
Let us pray:
Mary,
you are the new Eve
and the mother of all nations.
You gather all the poor of the earth
and tenderly console them.
You gather all the diverse peoples
of our world and invite them to work
for justice and reconciliation.
We place ourselves in your care today.
Renew in us the dedication
to live a life of faith modeled
on your example and witness
your virtues of humility and openness.
Amen.
